How to Master Your Strength Sessions….

Are you walking into the gym just getting under the bar for squats without activating the right muscles to get the most out of the squat?

Are you just getting the dumbbells out straight away and banging out bench press without thinking about warming the shoulders up first?

When it comes to strength training, most people just turn up, throw a few weights around, and hope they get stronger.

But real progress doesn’t happen by accident — it happens when you treat every session like it matters.

We teach our members that strength training isn’t just about lifting heavy.

It’s about how you prepare, how you focus, and how you execute.

Here’s how to master your next session 👇

1. Nail Your Warm-Up

A proper warm-up isn’t just about getting your heart rate up.
It’s about priming your body for performance.

  • Start with 5–10 minutes of light movement (bike, row, or ski).

  • Then mobilise the key joints you’ll use — hips, shoulders, ankles.

  • Finish the warm up with activation drills that match your main lift (e.g. glute bridges before squats, banded rows before bench).

This wakes up the right muscles, improves range of motion, and reduces your risk of injury — meaning you can lift heavier, safer, and more efficiently.

2. Get Into the Right Mental State

Your body follows your mind.

This is massively overlooked, and intent starts from the minute you walk through the doors.

If you walk in distracted or stressed, your performance drops before you even touch the bar.
Here’s what we teach our members:

  • Take the warm up seriously and leave any distractions like phones.

  • Visualise the lift — see yourself moving the weight smoothly.

  • Use a short cue before each rep (“tight brace”, “drive through the floor”, etc.)

Once your head’s in the right space, the rest follows.

3. Train With Intent

. Every rep should have purpose.
. Don’t rush your sets. Don’t chat between every exercise.
. Know what you’re trying to achieve — whether it’s speed, strength, or control — and move like it.

We make sure our coaching team is there every session to make sure you’re doing exactly that: moving with intent, getting feedback, and progressing each week.

🔥 Final Thought:
Strength training is as much about mindset and preparation as it is about muscles.
If you’re ready to train smarter, move better, and actually see results from your effort — we’ll teach you how to do it the right way.
